Active learning

Active learning is a process whereby students engage in activities, such as reading, writing, discussion, or problem solving that promote analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of class content.

Group Presentations

The Group Presentations activity intends to encourage students to participate in team work either through multiple channels or multiple locations. The activity is developed over a number of weeks and is designed to be scaffolded by the work done in lectures and tutorials as the course develops.

Rules of Engagement

Rules of Engagement activity intends to develop student responsibility of organising group work and living up to their responsibilities to the group. This is achieved by having the team members define roles and responsibilities (rules of engagement). The most appropriate tool for this activity is a Google Doc although a course wiki may also be used.
