Assess VE L&T Micro-credentials

Four credentials to support VE teachers to understand RMIT assessment processes that support compliance. The creds will support VE teachers to apply best practice strategies to designing, developing and conducting assessments that are industry relevant and promote student engagement.

Language literacy and Numeracy Pre-Training Review

Developing a short course for RMIT staff on how to analyse and use the Pre-training review (PTR) information, including the Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) test results, to inform and tailor program and/or course delivery to student needs. This is a part of RMIT’s response to ongoing VE rectification works.

BaseComps – Generic Units of Competency

The aim of this project is to grow the catalogue/product offering of templates to reduce the number of courses requiring assessment rectification and to ensure the alignment of content within courses.

Canvas Sub account – VE alignment

This project aims to further develop standardised templates for VE alternative course types, including clustered courses, WIL programs, apprenticeship and traineeship programs.

Virtual workplaces

The aim of this project is to grow the catalogue/product offering of virtual workplaces to encompass all program areas creating a basis for simulations, reducing the need to produce policies, procedures, forms and templates, characters and reports for individual assessments. This builds on the initial virtual workplace, Bagwan Health, delivered in 2019.

Higher Apprentices Project

This is a research project to inform the design of a higher apprenticeship educational model for the social service sector.
