The multi award-winning Vocational Education Design Team (VEDT) is a collection of assessment, learning, teaching, design and multimedia experts with a passion for delivering engaging and innovative learning resources. We build across LMS environments for internal stakeholders and industry partners, with a focus on improving student experience, accessibility and learning outcomes.

Working to well-developed quality processes and learning design principles, our team is able to assist with:

• educational strategies for program structure – e.g. 70-20-10 models, gamification
• assessment design
• resource development
• educational technology development – including LMS, rich content, video, animation and VR/AR.

Current and recent projects for our team include:

• blended courses which focus on quality learning and teaching for RMIT staff professional development
• a digital, interactive virtual hospital showing a complex health care facility as an exemplar for students
• curriculum and blended learning resources for training package qualifications designed to build the NDIS workforce
• an app to provide verification from workplace trainers as part of the work placement (WIL) component of a VE program.
