Based on social-constructivist theory, student-generated content is a learning methodology where students participate in the construciton and organisation of their own knowledge, often using social media and online tools to do so.
Synopsis Mind Maps
Synopsis Mind Maps requires students to work in small groups to create a synopsis related to specific subject matter area using a mind mapping tool. The mind maps are shared either physically or digitally (forum, wiki).
Breaking the Pattern
The aim of this pattern is to address a problem with engagement in early assessment. The intention of the reflective blog assessment task is to prepare students for development as professionals and to break a pattern of limited engagement in early assessment tasks. Early assessment tasks are for learning—rather than of learning.
