The Getting started: Language quiz is a quick self-evaluation tool. It will raise your awareness of your ability to communicate in the areas of reading, listening, writing, and speaking at tertiary level.

The RMIT University Library offers a range of language support for you to improve your communication in these areas and self-access resources are available at the end of the quiz.

  • There are four categories: reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

  • For each category, select the statement that best describes you.

  • You will not be tracked – the quiz is anonymous.

  • On completion of the quiz, you will be given tailored feedback for each area. You will also find links to study resources on the RMIT Learning Lab to help you improve your language skills.
