The Adelaide Declaration on National Goals for Schooling in the Twenty-first Century: Preamble and Goals
Still current today – although established in 1999 – these national goals underpin education in all states and territories in Australia.
Australian Policy Online (APO)
A handy portal to Australian policies.  Easily searchable index by categories such as Disability, Gender and sexuality and Youth.
Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA)
This council is made up of state and territory and national ministers for education – and others – and is responsible for developing national policies.  Has a great index to reports such as those relating to teachers and teaching, ICT, and the National Assessment Program (NAP)
National Report on Schooling in Australia
From this MCEETYA site you can access all national reports on schooling from 2000.
School Education (Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations)
From here you can access national policies relating to Early Childhood Education, School Education and Indigenous Education among others.
