In-text referencing when paraphrasing from a newspaper article without a named author, from a database.

There are two options for in-text referencing:

1. Adding a citation at the end of a sentence.
2. Using the newspaper name, date, month, year, page number, date viewed and database as part of your sentence.

Note:
If a newspaper article does not have an author, then provide details as an in-text citation only, NOT in the reference list.

Essential information to include:

• Name of newspaper - in italics
• Date Month Year
• Page
• Date viewed
• database

If there is no author, these details are NOT included in the reference list.

Note:

• Do not add page numbers or quotation marks when paraphrasing.
• The full stop is placed after the bracket when the citation is at the end of the sentence ( See - Example b).
