Ron Perkinson is Senior Vice President of Whitney International University System, USA. Mr Perkinson has held chairman and senior executive positions in the education sector and in multinational service companies, spanning more than 20 years. Mr Perkinson was appointed Senior Vice President, Whitney International University System, USA, to assist with the strategic development of operations and international investments spanning North America, Latin American countries, North Africa, Middle East, South Asia and East Asia. Previously, he was the Principal Education Specialist at the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group in Washington, USA, where he helped to establish a Global Health and Education Group focusing on private education projects in developing economies. His role at the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group was to provide technical advice and assistance for public and private sector education initiatives involving university projects; K-12 schools; technical and vocational education and training; information and communications technologies projects in education; public private partnerships; plus distance education and e-learning projects in developing countries. He has presented at international conferences on behalf of the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group about the global education marketplace, financing higher education and the changing landscape for international higher education.
